Discrimination of Religion in America America is a country where the population is vast and complicated. It is a democratic country where people have rights to voice their opinions. Discrimination seem to exist till this very day and is getting uncontrollably severe day by day. Although America is a place where one nation should be united, discrimination against different types of religions such as Muslims still exists. America is a United Country where the people are supposed to unite and be one. According to American Declaration of Independence, all men should be treated equally. “All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights; among these are life, liberty and pursuit of happiness,” (Jefferson). It is the duty of all governments to protect the ability of every individual to profess and practice his or her own faith.” – U.S Government. They belief that protecting the freedom of religious belief is also paying mutual respect to other race. It is the job of each government of a country to protect the civil rights of their nation. “The United States shares a deep concern about discrimination, the targeting and ridiculing of individuals based on their religion, and interreligious violence. We also share concerns about undue restrictions on places of worship and on religious attire and concerns about actions that willfully exploit tension or perpetuate negative stereotypes.” U.S Government.
