Have you ever had life forcibly taken away? Have you had to live in fear, thinking that today could be the last day of the little freedom you have? I can say I ever had to endure something like this, but Anne Frank did. She is the author of the non- fiction diary ¨The Diary of a Young Girl”. This book inspired millions worldwide. Anne Frank is so relatable to teenage girls worldwide. Anne says, "I hope I will be able to confide everything to you, as I have never been able to confide in anyone, and I hope you will be a great source of comfort and support." She pours her secrets, crushes, boyfriends, daily routines, all the growing feelings of a young girl into this diary. We learn so much about World War II and herself included. So, I want to just talk about this inspiring book.
Her mother, Edith Frank, gave birth to her on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany. She has an older sister who is three years older named, Margot. At four years old, Anne and her family moved to Holland because the Nazi’s came to power. She lives a relatively normal and happy childhood. But it all changed on July 5, 1942 when Margot received a call to report to a Nazi work camp in Germany. After that call they immediately fled to hiding in the back of Anne’s father’s company building. In the beginning of her diary we see a guy magnet, talkative, intelligent, mature, perceptive young girl. Throughout the book she transforms into an astute observer of politics, and of human nature, and a much practiced and well-educated writer. Anne and the rest manage to hide in a secret Annex for 2 years, until they are caught on August 4, 1944 and sent to concentration camps. Anne dies in either late February or early March of 1945 in Bergen-Belsen concentration
