As we go about our days interacting with all kind of different people, no one really knows or understand the different type of obstacles one faces on an everyday basics. Some people may be more open about their daily challenges or they will try to hide it from people Out of everyone no one will be able full tell if someone they are interacting with has a developmental disability until it is one that is very noticeable. There is a broad range of different developmental disability and each one has their different challenges. Developmental disability is a condition in which someone has a mental or physical impairment. There are different functioning ranges when it comes to autism; the spectrum range from high functioning to mild functioning. Different characteristic of autism can range from difficult social interactions, to not being able to speak to others, behavioral problems, or different unique strengths. A person with autism can have just one of these characteristic or they can have more. Common signs of autism do not normal become apparent until the child is around two years of age. The known symptoms when it comes to an child with autism and their social communication and or interaction behavior are “not making any kind of eye contact with a person who is trying to communicate with them, getting upset over a slight change in their daily routine, as well as, having trouble understanding another person’s point of view or being unable to predict or understand other people’s actions” (Autism Spectrum Disorder, n.d) getting to see these sign first hand because of my young brothers makes it easier for me to distinguish if someone who I am involved with has autism or not. Since they have social communication problems you have to be patient with them, and not push them to do something they are not comfortable with because it will only upset them and make things worse from you and others. That’s why getting to know how to interact with children or even adult with autism is important, even if you aren’t working with them or know someone who has any form of
