Critically reviewing the scientific development of the testing problem at that time, it is necessary to note the shortcomings that have taken place in theory and practice:
- the absolute value of the test control and attempts to replace all other types of control with tests;
- lack of appropriate training for the design and use of tests by teachers;
- non-compliance with the requirement of one of the most important elements of the validity of the test - the validity of the content;
- the unsuccessful formulation of many test questions and their alternatives (several correct answers corresponded to the same question);
- inclusion in the test of a large number of questions that required a detailed response; failure to perform the procedure for determining the validity and reliability of the test by statistical methods. …show more content…

Schools will try to show that they are well trained. There is a certain risk that time and effort will be spent only on those who are able to improve the results at the cost of the minimum amount of money and time spent on them. More "difficult" children, or those who still score high scores on testing, receive less attention than they deserve. Thus, it is necessary to approach very carefully the definition of "school efficiency" or the quality of education as a whole. If we ignore the "invisible factors" in the analysis of test results, this leads to inaccurate and unscientific conclusions. It is very important for politicians to understand how to apply test results, as well as not to apply
