Getting old is for the birds! My face might not be the shiny red it used to be and my wheels never seem to want to go as fast like they used to. New and young rollercoaster don’t know how good they have it. They just coast along without a care in the world. What they don’t know is how bad it will get someday. I feel as though I am an old man with all the creeks and groans that happen on a regular basis. Along the way I had many trials, including some of the looks, smells, and feelings you get when you are a rollercoaster. The worst part about being a rollercoaster is the various smells, and I’m not talking about the fair food. It’s those nasty smelling butts. People come on when they are all sweaty and just come sit down on me like nothing is wrong. Those older guys are always farting on me when they get scared! My seats aren’t comfortable at all. They are as cracked as a mud puddle that has dried up. The upholstery is worn away and could really hurt somebody if they’re not careful. Workers fixed them one time but I’m such a high demand ride that it didn’t last long. I don’t know if I can do this anymore. Running every day without stopping really wears a guy out. I like the joy of giving people rides; however, when you do it constantly it almost gets old. The workers have no idea how hard it is on old geezers like me. They think I could run forever and never break down. It’s really hard on a person to do something 24/7. Nights are the toughest parts of a roller coaster's life. They are the most boring thing you could ever go through. All you do for nine hours straight is just sit there in silence. Do you know how hard it is for a very social man to not say anything to anyone for that long? It's almost as hard on me as having to run all day every day!
