Her name was Jan Johnson to others, but to me she was known as Grandma. People were always talking about how hard she fought for everything. She was known as a fighter, but not the kind of fighter that you’re thinking of. My grandma fought every day for her life because of medical issues that she had. Sadly in February of 2014 she lost the fight. Those 16 short years that my grandma was in my life she taught me so many life lessons. She was an inspiration to so many people. Everyone loved her kind heart, her sweet smile, and her passion to do for others. The impact she left in my heart inspires me to be the person that I am today. She was the most determined person I knew. If someone told her she could not do something, she would prove them wrong time and time again. When I was younger I was big into dance. One night I spent the night at my grandma and grandpas and I had this idea that me and my grandma should have a dance off because I could dance better than her. Of course she agreed to have the dance off. I started with the bar pretty high with a cartwheel, then she did a dance move that was cool when she was younger called the “Twist.” I then did a backbend and kicked myself over then went down into the splits and said “Can you beat that?” which was probably my first mistake. She then says “Shoot, I can do that!” She went on to go down into a backbend, and nailed it. Then I hear her start laughing and saying that she was stuck and I needed to help her. I was laughing so hard trying to get her up. Once I realized I could not do it, I decided calling 911 to help would be a good idea. She told me she was going to have herself off the ground before first responders got there. After about 10 minutes of rolling around she finally got herself up, and sure enough about 3 minutes before the first responders came through the door. This is a lesson that has stuck with me throughout my life. It showed me to not let anyone tell me I can’t, and do not let people get in your way. She taught me to go out and get what I want out of
My relationship with my grandmother paved the way of my education, my faith, my success. Her understanding and unconditional love, as well as, faith in me along with my past experiences, helped shape my character today. I am currently a high school graduate, who was ranked number 4 in my class with a 3.79 G.P.A. Not to mention, on a full scholarship to college, and by the end of July have a total of eleven college credits before becoming an official freshman.
Have you ever been away from someone so long and then with them for so short of a time, but in that time you see how wonderful this person is, and they leave a mark on everybody they meet, see or touch. The thing is this person has a big problem despite how many people they touch on the outside world, the truth is their family is falling apart …you’d never think this beautiful person has a dysfunctional family. My grandmother is a no nonsense person when it comes to her small family she always wants us to do our best in whatever we’re doing no matter what; I’ve always enjoyed having someone to motivate me with humor. Everything good that is in me came wholly or in part from this woman. She taught me to love and to give, even when no one noticed my efforts. She taught me the value of hard work and dedication to our passions in life, the things that make us more than just animals. She taught me that there is value in every human life, regardless of how meek or downtrodden. The lesson I would like to talk about today is the lesson of the value of the fight, and to her very last day she continued that lesson.

I took advantage of my grandmother visit to conduct an interview about her personal life. Following his interview, I learned many fascinated facts I never knew about her before. Mrs. Mayser Fares, who is now 73-year-old, was born on October 13,1948 in her house that is in East Jerusalem. She explained back in the days’ hospitals did not exist, and everyone who was born during that period was born at home. Mayser feels fortunate because she had an opportunity to go to school for three years; other girls did not go to school at all. Mrs. Fares is described as lean, tall, have a fair skin tone, and black hair. She appears younger than her age; there are only few wrinkles on her face. She is still physically and mentally capable to take care of

There are many of heroes along with role models out there for example like Batman, and all the others we sometimes wish we could be, then there are the real heroes or people who make a difference in people’s life. Like firemen, policemen, and our military who take a risk with their life every day. One of my heroes happens to be my Grandpa, He served in The Korean War, he was the first person in the family to attend a college, and he always puts his family first. He didnt argued with anyone, no matter what the situation was. The only thing that he had to do in spite of hating it was fight in the war.

How many of you would like to go back in time just to be able to meet a wonderful person you’ve never got the chance to meet? A wise woman who is known as Shannon Alder once said; “Carve your name on hearts, not tombstones. A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you.” I would go back in time to meet the most admirable person in my life which is my grandfather because I fell in love with him but never met him. My deceased grandfather was a caring, genuine and humble human being that wanted nothing but a happy, comfortable and acceptable life.
It was a Monday night; I remember it like it was yesterday. I had just completed my review of Office Administration in preparation for my final exams. As part of my leisure time, I decided to watch my favorite reality television show, “I love New York,” when the telephone rang. I immediately felt my stomach dropped. The feeling was similar to watching a horror movie reaching its climax. The intensity was swirling in my stomach as if it were the home for the butterflies. My hands began to sweat and I got very nervous. I could not figure out for the life of me why these feelings came around. I lay there on the couch, confused and still, while the rings continued. My dearest mother decided to answer this eerie phone call. As she picked up, I sat straight up. I muted the television in hopes of hearing what the conversation. At approximately three minutes later, the telephone fell from my mother’s hands with her faced drowned in the waves of water coming from her eyes. She cried “Why?” My Grandmother had just died.
Love : Above all, Mildred Johnson is a figure of unconditional love. Love was the major fabric by which she created her tapestry of life. In the raising of her own children, the teachings of her grandchildren, and in how she welcomed in new family and friends, her unconditional strong love is what has made our family what it is today and what will keep us together from this day forward.
My aunt had been an important person in my life since I was born. She helped me a lot through rough times and always was there if I needed anything. I could always remember the big family parties we had and she would give me money for a present. She was always nice to me and was a big part in my success at anything I was doing. I even used to call her 2nd mom sometimes.

Some grandparent’s teach you a very valuable lesson of life, they teach you respect, hard work, family values, and unlimited love. They show you trust, a trust that cannot never be broken.
This lady is the most wonderful person I 've ever met. She is old, affectionate, and intelligent. It took me eighteen years to realize how much this extraordinary person influenced my life. She 's the type of person who charms everyone with her stories and experiences. She always time for her family and friends. She is the kind of leader who does everything to keep her family together and in harmony. She is my grandmother.
Has anyone ever asked you: “Who is most important to you”? To me the most wonderful mother in my life, no one can replace her in my heart. My mother, who is very nice and gentle, helps me and has always been there for me when I need her. My mother loves me very much. She is strict and educated me to become a good person. I can’t say how much love her. I am grateful to her because she gave me birth, brings me love and helped me grow up. But you know she just takes care of me a lot. Every day she tells me the same words. If you were me, you would feel very tired. I am a very happy child having my mother. I feel too tired to listen to her words, but imagine one day I don’t see her any longer and listen to her voice. What would I feel?
