It has been a little over a month since we have visited Venice. I absolutely love it here. The hotel where my family is staying overlooks the sea, where I spend most of my time playing in the water with friends. The cool water is a satisfying way to refresh after a long hot day of walking through the city. There are many people who go to the beach, but recently I have noticed a man who is always there when I am. I try not to overthink the situation, but every time I notice him, he is starting at me. I have not told anyone, nor have I been too worried about it because Venice is a big city and many tourists come here to relax and vacation at the beach, but his stare is intriguing to me. I am excited to go back home to all my friends, but Venice is such a fun city that it will be hard to leave. Just as I am recognizing the elegance in the city, I see that there is just one other gondola on the water and fairly close to our boat. There is only one man on there, seems lonely to me, but when I look closer, I notice it is the man again. At first when I noticed the man staring I was just curious about who he was and what he wanted; however, now on the river, I am a bit uncomfortable. This man has been stalking me this entire day, beginning at the church. I wonder if I should tell my family about him, but telling them might cause a scene and maybe it is more than I think it is. The fact that he fails to approach us is frightening and I begin to think that he might harm us in some way, but I shut that thought down immediately because he really does not look like a dangerous person. The short instances we have had of friendly eye contact, I noticed that he is an amiable person, but is just too shy to approach
