Perseverance Essay Perseverance is not something easily defined. It’s not just about working hard and not giving up. It’s more than that. Perseverance is when you work hard and you don’t give in spite of significant challenges. When you persevere, you come out on top. You gain respect. You become a better person, and you make the lives of those around you better, too. The first person I think when perseverance comes to mind is Jesus Christ. Jesus had perseverance in everything he did. He was patience, willing and daring.

Jesus Christ supremely displays God’s patient character in his work of salvation. The patience of Jesus Christ is seen in his relationships with people and in his perseverance through trial and suffering to death. Followers of Christ are called to demonstrate patience in all their relationships and circumstances. Jesus’ patience with people was one of his great qualities, we as men are sinners but God is the only one that can forgive us of our sin. We test our faith with God with the things we do, and we do a lot of bad things but Jesus has the patience to wait and for us and to correct or wrong doings before we are punished. …show more content…

The meaning of this is that, Jesus as Shepherd and Savior willingly gives Himself up for His sheep. By sheep, Jesus means His people. He sacrificed his time, power and also his life for the people he loved and cared. He was tortured, mocked and beaten all because of his faith in God. His loyalty and dedication to God triumph over all who went against him. He showed perseverance in being willing because when his was tortured, mocked and told he was a fake, his faith in God did not waver.
