Honesty. What is it?
Well, I could just say that honesty is telling the truth, but there's much more to it.
I'll start off with the regular and common meaning. Honesty shows positive attributes like truthfullness, integrity and straightforwardness. It could also mean that there's not as much lies being told by you, cheating, or becoming a theif. It will make you trustworthy, fair, loyal, and sincere.
Let's face it. Everyone lies, but it doesn't have to be all the time. Many have secrets of their own, too, and that's fine!
When you're honest, you shouldn't be rude, how some people are. Many don't understand this, especially kids at young ages, and it is very important. Make sure you're respectful when telling the truth. Being honest will make …show more content…

This is alright! It's better to tell the truth than to lie. Some will even get angry at you for your honesty, but, again, it's better to tell the truth than to lie.

Trust is something important, and honesty plays a big part in earning it. Being consistent is also another thing that ties to honesty.
-Make sure you know what dishonesty looks like and what roles it plays. It can ruin relationships instantly sometimes. Some examples of this could be acting all nice and goody to someone when you, in reality, don't care, pretending that you like someone to get something, bad behavior, and brushing someone off when you don't care about what they ask you.
-Know why you want to lie instead of telling the truth. Make sure you're clear on the words you choose and don't stray from straight-up facts.
-Know that honesty is NOT blunt or rude unless you make it. YOU DECIDE THE WORDS YOU USE AND HOW TO USE THEM.
-Be honest with yourself. This can help when you're trying to be honest with others, when you first understand and are honest with yourself. Don't compare yourself with others and don't try to cover up what is "not favorable" about yourself.
-Don't be someone you're not. This can help with not worrying about how you'll come accross to others when being
