William Shakespeare treats death in Romeo and Juliet different for each set of characters. Some character deaths was because a familial issue, other were for legal issues. Romeo and Juliet's death was a familial issue, Mercutio’s death was a personal issue and Tybalt's death was a legal issue. The death of Romeo and Juliet is treated as a familial issue as well as a calamity. A familial issue is an issue in someone's family life so like a son, daughter, brother, sister. In Romeo and Juliet's case, a husband and wife. The deaths of Romeo and Juliet is a familial issue because when Romeo though that Juliet died, he was in great dismal so he killed himself so he could be with her (5.3.74-120). Tybalt was a adversary of Romeo and had the drift to kill him. His spleen of the situation is Romeo trying to love his coz Juliet. He approached Romeo and Mercutio looking for a fight. Tybalt and Mercutio ended up fighting and Tybalt killed Mercutio, because Tybalt did this, he deserved the death penalty for his transgression. Romeo then took revenge and killed him (3.1.70). This is a legal issue because Tybalt was going to be treated to the death penalty anyway so Romeo killing him was just like giving him the death penalty. This death is a lot different than the others because his was a legal issue and he deserved to die, the other deaths in the play like Romeo, Juliet and Mercutio decided to die for a family member that they love. William Shakespeare treated death differently for each set of character in Romeo and Juliet. Romeo, Juliet and Mercutio death was all because of a beloved family member while Tybalt's death was a legal issue because he was going to be treated to the death penalty anyway so Romeo took the matter in his own hands.
