Google and Amazon are global companies that seemingly rule the world through all the influence and power they have over the world’s economy. Though Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, has stated that he believes “One of the only ways to get out of a tightbox is to invent your way out” showing his belief over how innovation occurs. Capitalism is a sufficient form of economy for countries struggling to create a strong foundation provided that the government doesn’t take action against the formation of capitalism if capitalism doesn’t work for the economy as planned. In a world full of strong economic powers and the ability for businesses or stock to crash down in a matter of minutes, capitalism allows for more possibilities to experiment in order to create a strong and diverse global economy for the country’s economic well being. Bill Gates and many others who are part of the top elitist tier of entrepreneurs have created a group called the Giving Pledge which helps out poor countries around the world especially those with struggling economies (Source F). Without capitalism, countries have a more difficult task regarding getting financial help from other countries as they can not give aid without the permission of the government, who may see this as an obstacle to their vision of how the economy should be. Support from big names such as those involved with the Giving Pledge can help develop industry as they can give money to fund and startup industries that can help with the economic stance of the country. Another example could be Indra Nooyi, CEO of PepsiCo, has used her influence to give money in order to make sure kids have a good education and live healthy lives in her home country of India (Source B). People understand that giving back is important especially when they personally know of the struggles that can occur in the ways of finding success.
