Introduction A thousand years back Muslims were the colossal light bearers of global scientific research (Mohamed, 2008). During the Medieval Ages or the Dark Ages as known by the present times, there used to exist brilliant scholars who indulged themselves in various fields like medicine, astronomy and so forth. Due to these dark ages of Europe the works of these scholars and scientists went unnoticed, because all the focus was on the European continent and not on the Muslim region that whatever inventions made by these great scholars had no value or whatsoever in the eye of the World. Muslims societies were driven more than anything, by innovation. Its mathematicians made variable based math and calculations that would empower the structures of PCs, and the formation of encryption. Its astronomers investigated the sky, named the stars, and prepared for space travel and investigation for the future. Its physicians inspected the human body, and discovered new cures for diseases (Al-Hassani, 2007). Muhammad returned and preached to the people about what he had heard, that there is only one god. Islam spread quickly for two main reasons they are the message and military conquest.
Expansion of the Muslim Empire The Muslim empire expanded vastly from 622 CE to 750 CE. This empire could be compared to the Holy Roman Empire, one of the greatest in the world. There are three main reasons to explain how the Muslim empire reached its height: battling for land, signing peace treaties, and granting stipends. Every Muslim who was in the military fought against other civilizations for land. After that, they made an agreement, or a peace treaty, with the people of the land they conquered.
Islam is a very large and influential religion, it all originated from one man named Muhammad spreading his beliefs to the people of Mecca, and now it has become the second largest religion in the world. How did this come to be? How did a religion that started with one man spread so quickly? methods , purposeful or not, were used. There are a few methods that appeared to be most effective, and those methods can be classified under two categories. Islam expanded from forceful ways such as government laws and military conquest, and from peaceful ways like the religion being a reasonable jump for other religions and Islam being an easily acceptable religion.
It is true that the Western World owes its science to the Muslim World. Partly because of their strive to learn from others and opening their finding to everyone. If the Muslim World was not this open and inquisitiveness of others besides them self, we would all be in the Dark Ages and deprived of all history not recorded in our native tongue.

The Islamic Empire explored natural philosophy and employed these understandings in instrumentality. They accumulated the natural philosophy of other cultures and expanded on their ideas in accordance with practicality. The Islamic Empire was the most advanced scientific nation for 500 years but declined because there was not much need for improvement in functioning. Career scientist only existed amongst the rich. The Islamic Empire is focused on the instrumentality of science, but even with the pronounced focus of instrumentality, the Islamic Empire experienced a dynamic between the dichotomy of instrumentality and natural philosophy, each seemingly distinct branch of science ebbing and flowing with the support and advancement of one another.

Islam:Empire of Faith The main purpose for the movie Islam Empire of Faith was to inform us about the Islamic culture. The movie in some parts really got you into the moment and started educating you but then some other parts trailed off and it was very hard to concentrate during those stretches of time.

According to Document 2, Cordova had many libraries , bookstores and public schools, far more than other places in Europe. This shows how much Muslims did greatly value their education systems and also proves the contributions they made on public education services because they were one of the first countries to have so many of them. Furthermore, Document 4 proves how Muslims are accredited for the creation of Algebra because it was created by them and later translated into Latin and used throughout Europe. This proves how European countries were greatly impacted by the Muslim mathematics system and its impact is still greatly appreciated because algebra is used all throughout the globe today. In addition, Muslims also created systems to do calculations that are still in effect today, as stated in document 5. With time, many of the inventors and scientists started to appear in this time, and here we will talk about 5 of the most famous inventors. Abu al-Qasim al-Zahrawi Also known by his Latin name Albucasis was an Arab Muslim physician and surgeon. He is said to be the father of surgery and is known to be the greatest medieval surgeon to have appeared from the Islamic word. His biggest influence on our history is writing Kitab al-Tasrif, a thirty-volume collection of medical practice,and much of these books were translated into other languages so they can help and teach many different countries about the great things he discovered.

History can easily be focused around Europe, and to do so produces a view of the medieval era being stagnant. However, when one looks at the greater global picture, it is clear that the Islamic world more than makes up for this lull in innovation, successfully brightening the “Dark Age”.
The Achievements of The Islamic Civilization Islam, one of the most successful religions was started by Muhammad in Arabia and had a massive impact on the world. If it weren't for Islam the world would have been a very different place to live in. Muslims didn't always invent things; sometimes they improved on other people's inventions e.g. the number system, the astrolabe and much more.
