Cuba is located by the Atlantic Ocean, and is directly located in the Carribean Sea. It is South of the tropic of Cancer and is on the entrance to the Gulf of Mexico. Jamaica and Florida are Cuba’s closest neighbors. Cuba is an island with irregular coastlines and many bays. Three quarters of the continent are flat plains, but there are rugged cliffs and coral reefs where many foreigners travel to see. Swamps and mangroves also are included in the plethora of Cuba’s surface features. The highest mountain in Cuba is in Guantanamo bay and it is called Sierra Maestra, there are three other large mountains, but the Sierra Maetra is the most significant of them all.

These beaches provide a place of rest and relaxation from the minute person steps on to one. One in particular that is the most famous of all of Puerto Rico would the Flamenco beach. After the Cuban revolution that took place in 1950s, Batista regime was overthrown and new government was formed which was led by Fidel Castro. Since then Cuba was ruled by Fidel Castro until recently. In 2008, because of Fidel Castro’s illness, his brother Raul Castro replaced him. Many Cubans supported the Cuban revolution in the hope of seeing changes in Cuba; however after Castro seized the power in 1959, many left Cuba to find the better life and live free from the communist government in Cuba.
Cuba had a long history regarding its countries state from the Cuban revolution till now. To start off, Cuba is the biggest island in the Caribbean and one of the closest to the United States. Because of its location it played an important role for America. The revolution lasted for 7 years but eventually the Cuban people were successful.

Worthy of the nickname ‘God’s swimming pool”, it has a seemingly endless horizon that reaches as far as the eye can see. The sand is so fine and powdery and it amazes me at how it can change textures with just a little bit of water. Perhaps the most amazing part of the beach is the vast array of wildlife that inhabits the area. From fish to crabs, you will never see the same creature twice. Each animal has their own distinct characteristics which make it exciting to explore and try to find more. My favorite place in the world is definitely the beach and I highly recommend visiting and seeing it with your own two eyes. It is an infinite world of expression, a paradise of color. There is no possibility of disappointment when it comes to the serenity of the ocean.
