This is a story of the memories I had with my first pet, a crested gecko named Peach. (Translated form Chinese) When I was six, it was another normal boing summer with nothing to do, until one day one of my dad’s friends gave him a call. He told my dad that there was an event going on in Pet World. (I can’t remember which day it was.) My dad and I were happy to go because we had nothing to do anyway. When the day finally came, we drove to Pet World. Back then, it was one of the coolest places I had ever seen. They had decorated the entire place with ribbons and balloons, lots of posters were put up on the walls. It was until I walked into the shop, that wave of noise hit me, there were people talking and laughing, announcers yelling names through megaphones, parrots squawking, and all the other animals making noise. I had never seen a crested gecko before, so I was really excited. They told us that we can choose a gecko to have, and opened the cage for us to pick one out. All of them were really cute, and I was having a hard time deciding which one I should get. Just as I was thinking, a gecko leaped out of the cage and landed on my face, to make a long story short, I freaked out. Geckos are part of the lizard family, and they have sharp claws, so having one attached to my face was not fun. Plus, they are cold blooded, and have the texture of a snake. After the manager finally pried the gecko off of my face, we were back to the question of which gecko I wanted. Since the gecko that “hugged” my face was so attached to me, I decided to get that one. After we choose my gecko, we were about to ask him how much the cage cost and stuff like that, but it turned out we get absolutely everything free, even a month’s supply of food for the
