Creative Water Essay Once long ago, there was an island called Resaii. It was a beautiful place where three thousand people lived. The ocean that surrounded it had prepossessing clear waters that consisted of magnificent ocean life. Everyone loved it there. Sadly, it was all obliterated on one disastrous night. There was a girl on the island, Tiare, who loved the island with all her heart. She lived in a tree house, along with her younger brother, Rangi, and her mom, Allana. The night of the storm, Tiare and Rangi had been collecting coconuts for dinner, when they heard another islander scream, “ahhhh, hurricane!”. Tiare then grabbed her brother and ran. When she turned back to look, she saw roaring blue waters coming towards her and found a tree that she and her brother climbed up. When they got high enough, they felt the swaying of the tree as rushing winds flew past them. Soon after, Tiare saw the catastrophic hurricane coming and told her brother to hold on tight. At that moment, she and her brother blacked out. …show more content…

They saw brown, polluted water flowing across the ground. They had to wait until rescue boats could come. Finally, after three hours of waiting, two men came and helped them off the tree and into the boat. Rangi started crying and wanted to find his mom, so the men took them to their house. On the way, they saw how ruined the houses were and saw morose people sitting on their rooftops waiting for help. When they finally arrived at their home, they saw that all of it had been destroyed, except for the rooftop. Soon after, Tiare and Rangi found their mom in another boat. Their mom had been in the house, but when she heard about the hurricane coming, she climbed up on the roof. There is about 196 countries in the world today and if 60 countries experience water scarcity, about 31% of the world is in danger. As our human population rapidly grows, so does our thirst for water and other resources. If the baby boom generation does not take halt to the threat of water scarcity, the next generation will have no where to turn for a natural source of usable water. Our ecosystems can no longer keep thriving and feeding a growing population due to water systems becoming overly stressed.
