Both “The Diary of Anne Frank” and “Freedom Writers” teach readers that everyone deserves a second chance no matter the situation or previous events.

Anne was held in an annexe for a long time she gave up because she could not do anything but sit in a house all day, not interacting with others except for Peter (Anne Frank). However Eva was the same way she didn’t interact with anyone except the people she trusted like Ms. Gruwell (Freedom Writers). Anne was always the quiet one always doing what was right, she was born into a troubled generation, during this time Hitler was a big “Scary” figure (Anne Frank). It is the ties that a person may not instantly make or the connections that one has to search for that are the strongest and most memorable.
