I frowned. It was training time for the tributes and my mentor told me to find partners for the Games, but I don’t want to. Sighing, I head towards the “ocean” section of the training room, my comfort zone. Looking around, I recall the reaping at the town square in Community Six. The shock on my mother’s face as Lucy Bell, Community Six’s reaper, calls out my name, Callista Prior! as the tribute representing Community 6 in the 55th Annual Game of Death. I sit down next to a boy with a strong, muscled body and a deep frown on his face. Starting to weave a trap out of seaweed, I ignore the other tributes and try to concentrate on my work. … Bong bong bong! The bells ring, signaling the end of the training period. All the tributes head off to the cafeteria for dinner. Piles and piles of food are placed on the tables by Capitol servants and I almost drool at the amazing aroma of dinner. I sit down next to my community partner and begin to dive into the food. I hear a door opening and look up- President Summer has entered the room. She waves to the tributes and sits at the head of the table, starting to eat. After a delicious thirty minutes of eating, President Summer stands, and the group quiets down. …show more content…
