The began by looking at how multiple deployments negatively affect the mental health of service members. They then compared how their study and US studies have varied, in their studied they showed that there was no association between multiple deployment and higher depression levels among spouses. However, US findings did find a correlation between multiple deployments and higher depression levels among spouses. They did find that the health of the parent at home showed a higher predictability to the overall health of children. Their studied showed that among children whose parent deployed multiple times there were more behavioral problems.
