Mrs. Leanne Kenny, the high school choir director, was a delight to observe. She has a humorous personality and a playful attitude. Her classroom has a very safe feeling when you walk into the room. This is her first year teaching at White County High School, and it is her first time having a college student observing her teaching. With that all being said, I feel like every time I entered her class, she was being her natural self and not pretending in any way. She was always honest, and I feel like I learned a lot more through her transparency. There was never a dull moment in the classroom. She would always joke around with her students, and she seemed like she a close connection with most of them. At some point, I feel like she may have gotten too friendly with them, and she may have lost some respect and authority in the classroom. The biggest problem in the classroom was the students arguing with her. She did not like any kind of talking back to her or comments that were just unnecessary. With one student, I felt like she could have given some type of punishment to her because the arguing became an every day thing. One of the teachers she worked with was Mr. Talton, the drama teacher. They have worked together outside of school with shows, and now they work together to do shows for the school. Mrs. Kenny teaches one of the fundamental drama classes with him. They are a dynamic duo. He came into the chorus classroom a few times, and they are always very professional. I also, so her interact with the library, and she knows how to ask the library for exactly what she is looking for. When she encountered any teacher; she was always polite and was able to joke around in some way. Everyone seemed to find her cheerful and a joy to work
