To truly understand the meaning of civil disobedience you’d have to say that it is the act of disobeying laws to bring about change in government legislation without the use of violence. Throughout history we the students have seen and studied examples of civil disobedience. For example, the colonies boycotted British goods during the American revolution. And with that British passed the Tea Act, reducing taxes on tea. The point is, you don’t always have to use violence to make change.
