Cinderella raced home, the ringing of the clock striking midnight still sounding in her ears. She felt the last of the magic within her outfit wash away, drifting off with the brisk breeze. The only thing that stayed was the lone glass slipper, glimmering in the moonlight.
Upon reaching her house she opened the back door, allowing her entrance into the mansion she had spent all her life in. There was a luminescent glow that dimly lit the empty halls. Cinderella passed swiftly through the house and makes her way to her room, changing into her usual maid outfit. She tucked away the glass shoe and traveled back down the stairs. She began to clean the house, just as she always had.
As she fell into a rhythm her thoughts drifted to her actions
She also didn’t realized her happiness was displayed clearly across her face. Lady Tremaine's wicked smile went unnoticed as she quietly slipped from the room.
When Cinderella deemed her efforts worthy enough, she made her way to her room. She was met with her step-mother’s grinning face and the lone glass slipper in her mother’s hands. As her step-mother stood, her face morphed into an enraged look and she confronted Cinderella.
“My daughter, I kept you fed and clothed, but this is how you repay me?”
Cinderella didn’t really understand what was happening, but before she could figure out what, her step-mother had pulled out one of the chef’s knife that should have been down in the kitchen. The next moment, Cinderella felt the most overwhelming pain in her ankles.

The next day, Cinderella sit on the windowsill and watched as a royal carriage rolled up the the door. A man stepped out carrying her other glass slipper, but being too tired Cinderella could only watch as he stepped inside. Soon after, her step-sister, Drizella, stepped out wearing the glass slipper that was only meant to fit Cinderella. Cinderella’s last sight was that of her sister’s foot, but it wasn’t her sisters foot, it was one of the feet Cinderella no longer
