Christianity is the most known religion and most practiced religion in the United States and in most of the world. One of the more popular religions, and more controversy to other religious groupings in the Eastern part of the world. Based off the well known and top selling novel of The Bible, tells the story of Jesus and his life, and teachings of a righteous life to life in the eyes of God. Many questions are discussed through a biblical perspective, “how has this religion grown?”, “Where was this religion first originated and how has it changed lives?”, “What makes this religion so popular in our time and how does it affect us culturally?”. The life and teachings of Jesus Christ, The oral traditions of the Apostol’s, and the written word. Each given a specific purpose to make Christianity what it is throughout life. The word of Jesus Christ to many are the most important words of any walks of life. The bible describes more of what Jesus’s life was like and what he did to make himself the son of god. By this Jesus taught the right doings and to bring people to follow Gods word even through hard times in life. Sending disciples to spread the word and make the world of Christianity the way it is today. Andrew Minto, a professor at Franciscan University, studies the people who make up the laws of the church for the Christian faith. The oral traditions of the Apostles are the words from the disciples from the word of God to pass on to the people. Some of these traditions they have made are still in effect today. These Acts made more of a traditional way for celebrating the life of Jesus and how we should recognize him. One of these traditions is found in the Acts of the Apostles 11:26 “For a whole year they met with the church, and taught a large company of people; and in Antioch the disciples were for the first time called Christians.” Traditions like these including Easter are made to show the word of Jesus and tell about his life and the word that he has given to the disciples. The third and final stage of the early traditions is the written word. This is the writings of Gods followers and the importance of his life towards Christianity. Ignace de la Potterie, wrote about the history and the importance of the written word. “In order to fulfill Christ's commission to make disciples of all nations, some Apostles under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit committed the message of salvation to the written Word. It is believed that the first Christian Letters were composed by St. Paul in the mid-first century AD.” The written word is one of the most used
