The book’s main message/ thesis had to deal with how in today’s society people separate “daily life” from the church. Society believes that religion is only for personal use and that it should not influence the world. This would imply that Christianity is concealed in a box of private values (mostly left at home and not talked about in public freely), preventing it from having any influence on the world. This means that people limit their beliefs to the “religious box” and accept the views from the culture around them and their work areas. Pearcey states, “We inhabit two separate worlds” (32-35). The best way to do this is to get rid of our old worldview on society and offer up a better one. As Pearcey said, “Christians need to move beyond criticizing culture to creating culture” (58). This can be achieved when Christians explain the gospel so that the world around them can understand it. Before we can create a new worldview, we have to identify what is preventing us from applying this to our “daily life.” Better understanding Creation, Fall, and Redemption would bring healing and fullness to our lives which would help us make a Christian worldview. When raising our children, we have to be certain that they understand their faith so when they leave the home, Christianity can thrive in the world when challenged. We cannot protect children from challenging ideas, but we need to make sure that children are equipped with a plan to evaluate other beliefs. “The way to construct a Christian worldview is to ask three sets of questions. In regards to creation, how was this aspect of the world originally created? What was its original nature and purpose? Relative to the Fall, how has it been twisted and distorted by the Fall? How has it been corrupted by sin and false worldviews? Lastly, along the lines of Redemption, how can we bring this aspect of the world under the Lordship of Christ, restoring it to its original, created purpose?” (Pearcey,
