Chris Jackson’s Hybrid Model of Learning is based on a theory of learning and encompasses the credence that there is a common biological foundation in relation to positive and negative outcomes within the work environment, education and wide-ranging population, thus he fashioned a model arguably capable to predict one’s functional and dysfunctional performance within the workplace based on their personality and learning style. Intuitive learning is stable and unchanging whereas conscious learning is exposed to further self-development and improvement. Functional learners are those who have the innate yearning to investigate and learn through sensation seeking and who have learnt how to direct their learning towards achieving productive results. Dysfunctional learners have an inherent desire to learn through their sensation seeking however have difficulty monitoring their ambitions. People who score weakly in sensation seeking often acquire noteworthy results in relation to conscientiousness, these individuals are proficient at what they do although are reluctant to participate in self-development …show more content…

A less to moderate score of sensation seeking implies that I exhibit an instinctive, equitable level of eagerness and desire when faced with the panorama of future sensation seeking learning prospects and experiences, it also infers that I relish a reasonably chaotic schedule and that I will not proceed with urgency into situations as I wish to consider the positive and negative consequences prior to taking action. This is however contradicted by my exceedingly low conscientious achiever result. Upon personal reflection of this declaration I believe this is a suitable judgment of my learning and subsequent workplace productivity however I deem that my poor conscientiousness score is a faultless depiction of myself, as I tend to rush into situations without the required evaluation of possible outcomes.

As displayed my most preferred learning style is goal orientated. As predicted I have notable self-confidence, which allows me to establish and achieve challenging goals, I believe this is advantageous and an accurate representation of myself as this tactic channels thinking resources towards more of an accomplishment
