This law forces parents to have one to two children in their life and that is it. This law made so the population of China would not explode and where the people of China would all have enough resources. The Chinese government uses this law to stop the cities from getting so populated in China. Many children are hidden away and can never go anywhere. In the article China’s Child Policy, the author states” Other say that it’s an abuse of human rights”. This passage shows that the policy is forcing people to not have more babies, which means the people of China have to acquire abortions. As a result, many children have died that could have become the next world wide human . Li Xia was one of the hidden generation in China that could have done many privileges but Li Xia can’t. Li Xia is not one now because the government changed it to a two child law. There are still many children that cannot do the normal effects though. Some people think that violating human rights is helpful,but this is not true. So many humans are forced to do what the government tells the people. In the article China’s Child Policy, the author states” Some people have estimated that the policy has prevented 400 million births in the past 40 years”. This passage shows that the policy is making parents own decisions. Which that means that they cannot decide how many kids they want. Also this shows that many kids will die because of this policy. If the parents have a third baby the parents have no choice but to hide them. As a result, the government will never know the children exist. With overpopulation you get environment problems like water pollution and sulfur dioxide emissions. According to Liu in document C “the population controls have kept sulfur dioxide emissions down by 17.6% and [reduced] water pollution by 30.8%. Without [the one-child policy], he says, the average person in Henan would a less land and a quarter less forest.” With the population control there is less water contamination which means less people will become sick from polluted water. Also in document C it states “Over 30 years of effort, we have put in place a systematic procedure for controlling the population. The family has to pay fines to keep the child. Undocumented children don’t have a birth certificate and come with many cons. In order to solve the overpopulation issue, the government should pay great attention to it. Some policies, such as “ One China policy”, have already been made in China. They have already paid off. For instance, in 1994, the natural growth rate was 11.21, but in 1999 it was only 8.77 (SFPCC statistics).
