How was your childhood? Was It beautiful? Was your childhood filled with happiness and wonderful memories with your family? For most of child laborers it was exactly the opposite. Child labor is called as work done by those small children who are under-aged by the law. In addition, child labor started from centuries ago, also before the industrial revelation, and it increased dramatically in the 19th century. Families who suffered from poverty had to send their young children to work, and to earn money for living. Child labor is considered as controversial issue, it also has opponents and supporters all around the globe. Child labor should be banned for a number of important reasons. First reason is the working conditions are often dangerous. Secondly, child labor gets in the way of education. The working conditions are often dangerous for children. The working conditions might be safe and healthy for adults, but for children it’s mostly dangerous and harmful. Working children have to go through long hours of no stopping work that eventually leads to exhaustion and health issues. Education is essential for every child, but child laborers definitely can’t get education just like any other child. Also, some children miss long periods of school or drop out, because they obligated to contribute to their families financially. Furthermore, children laborer work usually from 12 to 16 hours, and this leads to skipping school and proper education. Child labor could enable them to find better paid jobs in their adult lives, also child labor robs them of their interest in learning. Child laborers should have the right to be educated, so they can have a future out of poverty. In addition, not getting the proper education can easily drag the child into crimes.
