Changes in children's lifestyles over the course of generations, have affected the outcome of the behavior patterns we now see in the upcoming and younger generations. Over time the behavior patterns have become dramatically different than previous generations have shown. Realizing that this process of behavior has changed do to the interactions of life and people surrounding them, and the changing of todays world. That can, and will cause such different child behavior compared to other generations. Looking at this the majority of the teenagers lifestyle now is social media. With this change teenagers on social media have become more vulnerable to bullying one of the most common problems with social media, that affects this generation the most, especially the behavior change. The main cause for the bullying online called cyberbullying, is the fact that putting something on the internet versus telling someone face to face, teenagers have found that this is an easier way of a form bullying. The behavior changes are dramatically increased from before bullying to cyberbullying, mainly because the general public can see and talk about it regardless if it involves that individual. By doing this it can severely hurt, and change the behavior of the one getting bullied. But with social media, there’s always good aspects, one good aspect of Social Media is that people can connect from far away places to short distance apps on their phones and computers, meaning that travel can possibly be less important than before, or making long distance relationships easy to keep and establish. The word Latchkey basically is a child that uses a key, in the latch to get home or open the home. The census has shown that percentages have dropped dramatically to below 40 percent for ages 5 to 14 to become latchkey children. Over 4.5 million children spend 6.5 hours alone weekly. The biggest problem with the Latchkey Child is they spend time alone without a parent figure in their life having to learn to teach them self. With these regular and expected morals that aren't taught because the opportunity isn't there, it’s hurting, and changing the behaviors of the new and upcoming generation constantly. With previous generations the children would come home and expect to have the parent their giving them the direction that is necessary to have in every child's life. Parenting styles and efforts will change a child’s life dramatically and is extremely hard to change in a person’s life, once taught one way.
