Cell Phones Are More Than Distractions Even though cellphones have become distractions to some, they have become commonplace and help improve life all over the world. They allow impoverished people and countries to have access to cell phones which brings them access to the internet and the world outside which they live. Animals are tagged and tracked allowing data to be collected on their daily habits as well as show where the animal is and update people via app or text if the animal is nearby. The world is becoming more interconnected and aware of issues occurring in other countries we previously had no knowledge of until days or perhaps even weeks after an event occurred now we are able to help the countries. Due to cell phones being used and replaced by newer and better phones within a year, many are donated to companies who give phones to impoverished countries. New cell phones stay charged for a longer time, and even when the phones do lose their battery percentage, they can be taken to a location with electricity and recharged. The effects mobile phones have on third world countries or even impoverished people in first world countries is astounding. People will be able to stay updated on world events across the globe without having to be wealthy(Heimbuch).
