...4. Does Google's business strategy effectively address these challenges? Explain your answer.
The strategy of Google seems to focus of innovation. Innovation providing superior user experience makes the user promote the application because the customer just love it. This gives rise to more usage, which in turn gives rise to more advertising revenues for Google. More and more products of Google are coming into the lifestyle of user and the strategy appears to completely dominate internet and eventually dominate desktop as well. All Google needs to do is to edit their motto related to categorization /classification of information.
5. How successful do you think Google will be in the future?
Google will be successful in the future. In the meantime profits continue to soar and Google will continue to innovate, employing the high qualified experts in the field.
1985, Michael Porter indentified that – a value chain is a chain of value-creating activities in order to offer the customer the level of value that exceeds the cost of the activities, than competition, thereby resulting in a profit margin. Competitive advantage comes from carrying out these activities in a more cost-effective way than competitors.
Before they start recruiting, the company must decide what attributes and qualities they want in candidates and define as a hiring group what great looks like. After defining what specific attributes they are looking for, Google must then work to build an applicant pool that is filled with qualified candidates that would be a great fit for Google. With the incentive benefits that Google offers for referrals, Google can use selection tactics such as walk-ins, college campus visits, Internet recruiting such as LinkedIn and Google+, and referrals. By using these recruiting and selection tactics, hopefully Google will create an applicant pool that will sort out who the best candidates for them could be. After recruiting is complete, Google needs a structured selection process that can thoroughly determine great candidates by personal, phone and/or Skype Interviews. Additionally, formal pre-employment tests on personality, verbal, and/or numerical could be administered that include questions relating to performance, personality, and attributes Google is seeking for in
It is true that Google has contributed immensely to the development of America, but one must not remain sidetracked by the holistic effects, and should instead delve deeper into the true principles of Google in order to realize that the company is, on the contrary, run by “robber barons”. Recently, Google has posted about the principles that guide the company: “do what’s best for the user”, “provide the most relevant answers as quickly as possible”, “label advertisements clearly”, “be transparent”, and “loyalty, not lock-in” (Rosoff). During Larry Page and Sergey Brin’s time at Stanford together, they wrote an essay titled: The Anatomy of a Large-Scale Hypertextual Web Search Engine

Having examined the company’s internal and external environment it is obvious that Google earnings care and attentions even to the smallest detail to guarantee that it will be the leading company between many other online search engines and has been able to create loyal customers that are continually growing.
The leaders of Google have well understood the means to make Google’s company different to the other companies. They established since the beginning an original way of work, controlling the recruitment of the new members, and imposing their vision on the employees.
Its persistence and incredible energy are definably the keys of success. The first model created inside the company was focusing on the users, and the rest will be followed achieved. Also, the company figured out that being great at one thing was going to be the right path to follow. Plus, especially when dealing with technology, being able to provide a fast service was going to gain numerous customers. Moreover, Google’s model was based on democracy and ethical behavior. It is not necessary to become evil in order to be successful. Information is precious and a company like Google is always in need of information. There is plenty of information out there waiting to be found, and it only needs someone to look in the right place. Dressing like a professional does not make a person one. It takes skills, abilities and education. Finally, progress will never stop, and when someone thinks that he or she had reached the top, something will come up. In order to be successful, a person or a company should not stop

1. Workplace Design Drives teamwork: The design of the workplace is casual and like a playground so that the environment is comfortable, easy to work in and enhances ideas. Google also tracks time of its employees in cafe lines to maximize collaboration for e.g Lunch Tables: Design and place long tables which would expose employees to sit with other people resulting in exposing them to more people they can get to know so that people can be comfortable with one another and then work well in teams. The organization knows well that great ideas cannot be forced. Strategies such as accidental meetings between creative people and engineers, the freedom to explore, tailored work stations are used to help them feel more relaxed and fueled for the

...s product is so powerful. Opposite Google, Bing cannot gain the same level of popularity simply from word of mouth, so the brand has to experiment with different marketing techniques in an attempt to gain some ground in the market and combat the monopoly that Google has over the search engine industry. In the battle of Google vs. Bing, my opinion is that Bing will slowly start gaining ground at Google’s expense by continuing their marketing efforts and transforming their product into a more user-friendly search engine while slowly improving their brand image. I reckon Google will carry on the way that they always have but will eventually have to start doing something to keep their consumers as Bing’s popularity rises. One thing is sure though, the search engine landscape is going to carry on transforming and being innovated; the future is bright for this industry.
Value chain analyses a firm 's internal activities such as planning, production, and development, packaging and distribution so as to create value for clients. The function of the value chain is to identify the sources for cost reduction along with quality improvement. It means value chain is used to identify the strong and weak points, positive and negative points, the scope of improvement; in a nutshell, the advantages and disadvantages of the activities taking place in the system. The value chain is also called as a strategic analysis tool and it is a well-known concept in business management industry.
Google continues to grow and innovate. Google focuses on the user and all else will follow. Since the beginning, they have focused on providing the best user experience possible, and take great care to ensure that they will ultimately serve their customers(Google.com n.d.). In relation to market development and product development the core values “Its best to do one thing really, really well (Google.com n.d.),” fits in with these strategies. “You don’t need to be at your desk to need an answer (Google.com n.d.),” describes Goggle’s innovation to mobile platforms. “The need for information crosses all borders (Google.com n.d.).” Google company has grown and has offices in more then 60 countries, maintaining more then 180 internet domains, and serve more then half of their results to people outside of the United States, and this relates to concentrated growth strategy. “Great just isn’t good enough(Google.com n.d.).” Google continues to strive to reach for better ways of doing things, through innovation and integration, continue to improve things in unexpected ways (Google.com n.d.).
Understand that what Google wants to do might not happen, but it is certain to affect what others do and what eventually does happen in Internet marketing. If you pay attention to these broad themes as you do think through your marketing strategy, you'll be more prepared for whatever does come along.
First of all, where does the word “Google” come from? The name "Google" originated from a misspelling of "googol,” which refers to 10100, the number represented by a 1 followed by one hundred zeros. It found its way to the English language, now the verb "Google", was added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2006, meaning, "to use the Google search engine to obtain information on the Internet." Their search engine was originally nicknamed "BackRub" because the system checked back links to estimate a site's importance. /// The start of Google was pretty much like the start of every website. It was a research project to these two Ph.D. Students where they hypothesized that a search engine that analyzed the relationships between websites would produce better ranking of results than existing techniques, which ranked results according to the number of times the search term appeared on a page. It was first related to the university’s domain, but then the traffic was so heavy that the university asked them to move their website to a domain outside the university. What made Google this popular was the speed it pulls out information, which is counted in parts of seconds. And also, the size of their data base, according to the instructor of our instructor in MIS class only 60% of data you found on Google are in other web search engines.
