Today I am going to talk about the geography of Canada and its’ people lifestyle. Canada is a North American country stretching from the U.S. in the south to the Arctic Circle in the north, 60° 00 N in latitude and 95° 00 W in longitude. It has a variety of land regions, maritime terrains, thousands of islands, home of the longest coastline on the planet, more lakes and inland waters than any other country including earthquakes, more than 4,000 earthquakes occur every year, although the majorities are not felt. In essence, Canada’s landforms includes Appalachian Mts, St. Lawrence River; Canadian Shield; Great Lakes; Hudson Bay; Rocky Mountains. People live in both big and small communities. Some people like to live in urban areas, some like rural; all are personal preferences since the living cost is so much cheaper than the US. Canadians are similar to Americans; people likes to read, go shopping, hang out with friends, have family reunions once in awhile, go skiing, enjoys TV, and food. (Fun fact : Their famous main dishes are Poutine, Bannock, BeaverTails, Pâté Chinois, Bloody Caesars, Montreal bagels, Nanaimo Bars, and Butter tarts. They also similar to the Americans in terms of how the season will determine what type of clothes they would wear.. If it is Summer, they wear Shorts, t-shirts, dresses, skirts, sandals since the temperature is usually in high 80s and low 90s. In Fall, they wear leather jackets, pencil skirts and trousers, denim pants, sneakers, and leggings; since the weather is usually cool and chilly. In Winter, they put on layers of clothes to protect them from the freezing cold (which is normally 5F) and snow (which normally falls in inches). Clothes including waterproof snow boots, thick long sleeve shirts, woolen gloves, thick scarves, ear protection, hats, coats, sweaters, and pants.
