United States of America and Canada are two countries that are different from each other. Even though they share some similarities, they are still two different countries who have different rules. Both countries make decisions based of what they find is important and their decisions are not always they same. Some of the major differences are health care, military and the capital punishment. Although there are some similarities between America and Canada, the differences are more evident. Canada and America are different in many ways and health care is one of the differences. Canadian citizens receive health care and most health care services are free. America has a capital punishment and Canada does not. “Capital punishment existed in various forms in Canada until 1998, when the federal government completely abolished the death penalty (The Canadian Encyclopedia, 2016).” Canada used to have a capital punishment but they stopped it. In America, there are 31 states who still gives people death sentences depending on the crime they commit (Fitzpatrick, 2015). This is one major difference when it comes to giving punishments because Canada does not support killing someone and America does. Canada and America are similar in many ways but they are also very different. Canada and America are two different countries that make different decisions. The health care, military and the capital punishment are different in Canada and America. There are many other factors that can be compared when it comes to finding the differences between Canada and America.
