Mounted Watchmen of the U.S immigration service patrolled the border in an effort to prevent illegal immigration since 1904, but their efforts were irregular and undertaken. Also, this issue is still being important because according to some studies non citizens are responsible for 22% of all murder, 18% of all fraud, 29% of drug trafficking, and 72% of all drug possession convictions. government expenditures on illegal immigration is 135 billion dollars annually while illegal immigrants only pay 19 billion in taxes, illegal immigrants cost tax payers over 25 billion dollars on local expenses and in California, where they have the highest taxes in the nation, illegal immigrants, and their children make up almost 11% of the population.
