We don’t have complete control over our body weight but we do have control over our body weight. Genes can cause obesity but it still doesn’t explains why obesity has increased in the recent years. The simple calculation of calories intake and calories burned can tell us why obesity has been increasing in the past years. The genetic package can affect our weight but in the end it depends on the individual to manage the weight. Every overweight and obese person can improve their conditions by following a particular diet and while also doing activities to burn calories. Each body however responds differently to nutrition and exercises some people can easily lose weight while some may face a hard time in doing so. Nutrition is the main factor that determines the weight of a human body if it’s not receiving the right nutrition it will develop diseases and medical conditions. The heavy intake of calories without any activity is an example of over nutrition and it negatively affects the body however if the diet is changed then through exercise the weight can be substantially decreased.

Losing weight rapidly is also not healthy, a healthy human being should always have a good rating on BMI index. It is therefore important to slowly reduce the intake of calories while increasing the exercise. Self-Starvation can help to lose weight rapidly but it has devastating affects over the body, so cutting back on nutrition is not a solution on its own, it needs to be backed up by a number of things. Different nutrition plans are needed for different individuals so therefore there is no “perfect” nutrition plan that will help in reducing the weight significantly.
