Mr. Grover has spent the last two decades with PCS working in the field of education designing, developing, and creating learning programs and services intended to facilitate student-centered, experiential learning. PCS programs are now deployed in over 7,000 sites in all 50 United States and 13 countries, bringing hands-on, engaging activities to students in public and private schools, science centers, and after-school programs. Hagwood is an essential member of the Edventures team, as she oversees purchasing, shipping, restocking and more which enables the company to continue growing. Diane loves her role at PCS Edventures and enjoys living in Boise with her husband, four dogs, one turtle, two bullfrogs and a few dozen koi fish. She is also the proud mother of one, and grandmother of three--one of which is a current student in the PCS EdventuresLab after-school program.

Bob Floyd has been with the PCS Edventures family since 2008, since which time he has become known as the fastest shipper in the North West. With over 20 years of experience in warehouse management, Mr. Floyd runs the day-to-day operations of the Boise Warehouse with finesse and accuracy. He receives products, kits orders and ships around the globe. During his spare time he enjoys tinkering with LEGOs, K’NEX, fischertechnik parts and the PCS Edventures trademarked microcontroller known as The Brain.
Mr. Floyd received his AA from CSI in Twin Falls, Idaho where he graduated proudly as Student Body President and the Golden Eagle Mascot. Currently, Bob resides in Boise happily with his family and loves watching his nine grandchildren grow up. Ernie Barnes: Research of the Football Artist Ernie Barnes was and still is one of the most popular and well-respected black artists today. Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, in 1938, during the time the south as segregated, Ernie Barnes was not expected to become a famous artist. However, as a young boy, Barnes would, “often [accompany] his mother to the home of the prominent attorney, Frank Fuller, Jr., where she worked as a [housekeeper]” (Artist Vitae, The Company of Art, 1999). Fuller was able to spark Barnes’ interest in art when he was only seven years old. Fuller told him about the various schools of art, his favorite painters, and the museums he visited (Barnes, 1995, p. 7).

Wallenberg’s selfless actions defined him as an individual, not his noble, wealthy family’s actions. Without the work of Raoul Wallenberg about one hundred thousand lives would have ended in the Holocaust.

“Harrison Bergeron” a short story by Kurt Vonnegut Jr., takes place in a totalitarian society where everyone is equal. A man who tries to play the savior, but ultimately fails in his endeavors to change the world. Vonnegut short story showed political views on communism, which is that total equality is not good (and that equity might be better).

One of the world’s greatest, richest industrial business leaders of the late 19th early 20th century Andrew Carnegie was born in Dunfermline, Scotland in November 25 1835. Andrew’s family consisted of four people, William Carnegie, father, Margaret Morrison Carnegie, mother, and younger brother Thomas M. Carnegie. Dunfermline was known as center of the damask trade in Scotlan; his father William Carnegie was a damask weaver. Andrew’s family was not wealthy “looking at the cottage today, one wonders how two adults and a child could have lived there.” However, Andrew become very wealthy, respected and famous man later on in life.

So as to improve the K-12 education, the United States needs to redesign the high schools. The initiative by the president to redesign the high schools is significant in encouraging the schools to use the available resources. Schools together with their partners should take into using the resources that exist effectively. These resources are in the local, state and the federal so as to transform the experience in the high schools for the youth through energy of the whole school redesign. This effort of redesigning the high schools will help challenge them and their partners in rethinking learning and teaching. In the film, What about Bob?, Bill Murray Plays Bob Wiley who has a major anxiety disorder. Bob Wiley is a divorced man who lives in New York by himself with his fish Gil. Bob Wiley definitely displays an abnormal type of anxiety disorder because everyone naturally feels fear and anxiety every once and awhile, but Bob takes it to a whole new level. One article states, “They can cause such distress that it interferes with your ability to lead a normal life”(p. 1). Once anxiety changes the way someone lives their life, that is when it becomes peculiar. That is why I think Bob wiley meets the criteria for abnormal in his portrayal of anxiety disorder.
Field trips are events that most school children look forward to. They mean a day or a few hours away from school to explore an interesting place, what's better than that? Learning based on experience is an important part of a child's education but field trips without structure don't accomplish its benefits. We need programs that incorporate outdoor trips, personal discoveries, and team-based projects in an effective way, this is experiential education. Experiential education programs offer new standards for field trips and a different way of learning. Implementing the programs within traditional classrooms will provide more opportunities for learning.
My field experience for EDUC 2130 was done at Rabun County Elementary STEM camp. The camp and its instructors had the goal of increasing the student’s awareness, knowledge, and interest in STEM. The student age groups I worked with went from kindergarten to 5th grade which gave me a wide range of behavioral, moral, and developmental stages to observe. The teachers running the program used many of the techniques we have discussed such as whole class discussions, small groups, and observational learning.

Garfield was an outstanding man of many endeavors who went from driving boats down the canal to become a general of the union army to the twentieth president of the United States of America (The American Heritage Book of the Presidents and Famous Americans). James A. Garfield was against slavery and had great plans for reconstruction, but sadly they were cut short. His term only lasted in the first year, as Garfield was shot by an office seeker and died many months later (The American Heritage Book of the Presidents and Famous Americans).

With temperatures well below freezing, blistering winds, thin air, and sheer exhaustion, Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay did what no one in the world had ever done. On May 29, 1953 Hillary and Norgay set foot on the highest point on earth (Rosenberg). Many climbers had tried and failed, many lost their lives, but Hillary, a beekeeper from Auckland, New Zealand, and Norgay a Sherpa from Nepal, achieved every climber’s dream which is to stand on top of the world, to stand atop the beautiful Mount Everest.
