One of the main problems that are evident in the world today is children at risk. In many cases people's thoughts are directed to children in third world countries who are living below the poverty line. In this website the topics that are to be covered include, what determines a child at risk in a third world country, what the needs are and what a child at risk looks like, what the organisations Blue Dragon and Habitat for Humanity are doing, and what their most successful processes have been.

The organisation was co-founded by Michael Brosowski who is a member of the Order of Australia and was voted CNN hero of the year in 2008. Michael first realised that there was a need for an organisation like Blue Dragon in Vietnam when he was on holiday there and a group of children who were living on the streets at the time approached him while he was having lunch one day and started practising their English. After this continued for a few weeks, Michael noticed that these children didn’t have a proper home and decided to start the organisation with one of his friends. In 2003, Blue Dragon hosted four weekly classes consisting of 5-10 children per class, these classes were English, Mathematics, Art and Yoga. 2003 also marked the start of the Blue Dragon soccer team which is a great sense of pride amongst the children. In 2004, the first Blue Dragon house was set up to host 6 former street kids who had been taken out of risky and dangerous situations. 2005 marked the first time that Blue Dragon rescued someone from a trafficking ring. In this case, it was a thirteen year old boy. In 2006, Blue dragon started a lunch program where they provide a hot meal for street kids once a day. This also widens Blue Dragon’s reach into the community as children start to see Blue Dragon House as a safe place to go. In 2007, Blue Dragon had its first experience with sex trafficking where they rescued 3 girls who were kidnapped and sold to brothels in china. In 2008, Blue Dragon started to offer training for the rescued children so they would be able to receive higher paying jobs and would be able to get off the streets. As of 2017, Blue dragon has 5 houses throughout Vietnam plus their HQ, three of these houses are for rescued girls, two are for rescued boys. In addition to all this work, Blue Dragon also goes into the smaller towns with their legal team and registers many of the people there with the government so they can
