What is a community? According to the Oxford English Dictionary, its "A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common." Now it is safe to say a Catholic school would be a community because we all live relatively close to each other, but a Catholic school is more than that. The particular characteristic we all share in our school isn't just being Catholic, its how we live out being a Catholic community through different ways. Our school community at Blessed Trinity demonstrates all three components to this year's prompt: faith, knowledge, and service.

Blessed Trinity Catholic School is an environment where we are free to practice, celebrate, and learn about our faith. As a whole student body, we celebrate Mass together on Wednesdays. The older and younger children are assigned a prayer partner for these Mass days. The purpose of a prayer partner isn't to have an older child keep the younger one in line, but to guide them on their faith journey. These students are to be …show more content…

Students are strongly encouraged to challenge and fully apply themselves while learning. As a student body, we strive for greatness together. Even if academics isn't a student's specialty, there are many other ways we gain knowledge at Blessed Trinity. Because we are a Leader in Me school, constant reminders and guides about the 7 habits of highly effective people are posted around campus and are integrated into lessons. Whether academic or not, almost every person can sometimes not understand things. Students are always encouraged to ask questions and ask for help, and answers or assistance are provided through different ways. We have programs such as Title One, which is a group getting together for help on a subject, that are always happening. At Blessed Trinity, I have been taught that knowledge can not be possible without help, which is presented to us in many
