I choose to take the www.similarminds.com/bigfive.html. The Big Five is currently the most accepted personality model in the scientific community. The Big Five emerged from the work of multiple independent scientists/researchers starting in the 1950s who using different techniques obtained similar results. Those results were that there are five distinct personality traits/dimensions. I trust like no other and feel that I do let people take advantage of me. When I go shopping I would rather shop for someone else less fortunate than myself. I find it hard to see people homeless and going hungry even if they could be out job hunting then standing on the street. Inquisitiveness results were medium which suggests you are moderately intellectual, curious, and imaginative. I am a very smart person and think that begin smart gets me places in my career goals. I can be imaginative at times and come up with some really neat things. Like making shoes and neat clothes for my grandbabies. I am always wondering about different things and find it neat to learn different things. An example of this situation for me is, my daughter started dating and she started having a lot of friends and I would worry myself sick when she was five minutes late coming home. I would worry the whole night she was out and wonder if she was going to come. This showed, that I was insecure in my parenting skills. She has always come home safe. Part II: Examination of Personality Development Humanistic personality is any personality theory that asserts the fundamental goodness of people and their striving toward higher levels of functioning. Humanistic personality theory emphasizes that we are positively motivated and progress toward high levels of function, in other words, there is more to human existence that dealing with hidden conflicts (Morris & Maisto p. 364). I think that is relates to my personality development I am seeking higher levels of function. I am very motivated and progress toward bigger rewards for myself.
