My main goal while attending Baylor would be to achieve the best education possible and improve myself as a person, as well as grow stronger in my faith. I am looking to become a Pre-Nursing student and I have heard that Baylor contains one of the best medical programs in this area, prompting it to be on the top of my list of potential colleges. One of the main reasons i was drawn to Baylor is it’s strong Baptist roots. I am a strong Christian and I strive to be the salt and light of the world, as Jesus called us to be. I see great potential for Baylor to help me grow in my faith while also preparing me for my future career. I visited in March of this year and I was thoroughly impressed with the work that goes into maintaining the appearance of the campus. Although the weather was dreary the day I visited, I fell in love with Baylor as soon as I stepped foot there. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing that there is a Starbuck in the medical building. My family and I walked around, admiring the exquisite architecture and beautiful trees. After our tour we visited a member of my family that lives nearby, my Great Aunt Jean Behringer, and went on a tour through the Texas Ranger Museum (much to the delight of my father who has been a police officer for 23 years). I believe that I could contribute to the Baylor community in many ways. I am a hard working, kind young woman that strives to be as Christ-like as possible. I was graced with the gift of compassion and always do my best to make sure that everyone around me feels valid and loved. Specifically, if there were a student that needed help I feel that I could be a good listener and a compassionate, empathetic friend.
