Why Countries have banned Sex Trafficking
Sex trafficking is known worldwide as, not only a multi million dollar industry, but a brutal and inhumane way to treat people. Sex trafficking is nothing new and won't be going away anytime soon. But some countries have said no to this practice legally taking place in their territory. Some of these countries did it for a sense of saftey, some did it to make a political statement and I don't some did it to create a safe environment. There are only a few countries that have banned sex trafficking. Some are countries you may not expect. Some of these are The United States of America, Afghanistan, China, and Germany. It's important we understand why these countries took these steps, and find a way to get more to make these changes.
The United States was founded on freedom, the freedom of religion, speech, and many others crucial to our existence as a country. In our early history, even the founders of the country partook in the practice of slavery. It was accepted in culture for a very long time even here in America. It wasn't until our 16th president Abraham Lincoln that it was seen as unconstitutional and against the freedoms we so proudly embrace. The industry as a whole brings in millions every year, and makes everyone except the victims wealthy. Procurers are the ones walking a way with millions every year while the victims are only given very little money. Victims are also only given enough to keep them going while they are in the industry. The industry in the United States is a much more of an under the radar operation, where in countries that have legalized prostitution women do it for a living.
