Ballet Rehearsal Analysis

We now live in a world where we have the opportunity to have images and texts all around us, almost all the time; this is due to the advanced technology available (i.e. smart phones, radios, televisions, billboards, etc.). These images and texts can sometimes effect people without them even knowing it. Have you ever stepped back and looked at the types of images or texts that are around our world that can affect us on a day to day basis? Well, I have and this is my experience with looking back to see the types of interactions I encounter on my way to ballet rehearsal. As I prepare to go to ballet at Cache Valley School of Ballet (also know as Cache Valley Civic Ballet), I end up checking my smart phone after I get a few text messages, a couple of emails, and a Facebook notification. I respond to the text messages, check my emails (which are mainly store ads that I delete), and then I look at the Facebook notification. The notification was telling me what happen that day one year ago, which distracts me from getting my hair pulled-up and getting into my ballet outfit. I then reach out and grab my phone and reply back to my sister-in-law telling her that I would love to watch Claire (my niece) tomorrow. After I replied to my text message, I realize that I am about five minutes early, so I stay in my car and look through my Facebook feed. I come across an advertisement that says something along the lines of “Take this quiz and find how what will happen to you this year”. I admit that I was a little tempted to take the quiz, but it didn’t grab my attention enough to actually go through and take that quiz.
