Introduction
There is not a set definition of a “bad parent” nor is there one for a “good parent”. Everyone has different ways of parenting their children. Some may have learned on their own and some may have learned from others. In any scenario they were probably taught after the baby was born. Keep in mind, that it takes two people to make a baby so it will be the responsibility of two people to raise the baby. With having no knowledge on how to raise a human being the stress will start to roll in.
I myself was a victim of bad parenting. My biological mother was a very unfit parent and she had 3 children. She would always put getting drunk and her many boyfriends before her children. We would always have random babysitters that would watch us overnight. Since my …show more content…

High school is what prepares everyone in some way for the real world. Only 65.9% of high school seniors go off to college. Which means 34.1% will take adulthood head on. Not everyone is prepared to have a child. No one knows what life will throw at them so it’s better to be prepared early on. I want to be able to help decrease child neglect and lower the foster care population. I’ve experienced and seen parents not knowing how to take care of their children and it’s heart breaking.
This parenting class is necessary because it can change so many lives out there for the better. This class will not only benefit the student for when they have their own child, but it will prepare them for taking care of any child. The curriculum will include how to care for children in every stage of their life. It will also include how to manage everything with school, work, and a baby. The course will cover all aspects of what the reality is to be a parent. The outcome I want is to have the foster homes decrease and not have any children go through pain and suffering caused by their own
