I have a lot of memories that I still remember when I was little.Well for me I love babies and little kids so I would love to hear about baby memories.Keep reading if you’d like to hear about my baby life....(; March 23,2004 I was born. At Saint Luke's Hospital,at 4:06am my mom gave birth to me.I saw ALL of my family but it was a big room so it was ok.I saw Granny Grams,Aunt Debbie,Aunt Shauna,My two aunt Jennifer’s,Aunt Christi,Uncle Brain,Nana,Papa,Grandma Vicki,Grandpa Ron,Uncle Boone,Uncle Nick,Mom,Dad,doctor,siblings and much more family.I hear family saying how cute I am and telling my mom congrats.I smell everybody’s else’s scent as I’m passed around so everybody can hold me.I taste the chewy binkie and the creamy white formula that my mom or dad gives me in a bottle.I feel my mom’s ice cold finger wrapped in my hand so I will stop fussing.
The cold chill was blazing on me and my shoe gently began to pull out a tear. I thought about Candy and the other guys. Hopefully, I made the right choice. The sun came down and I ended up in a deserted river. Slowly, I began to regain where I was, and I opened my eyes in disbelief.
In various movies and TV films, such as Friends, Juno, and Baby Mama, filmmakers have depicted people talking to the belly of a pregnant woman. Most of the time, it is portrayed in order to add humor to the scene. Although, a baby can hear his mother; not only can the baby hear his mother, but also learn the language she speaks to him. According to Denise Mann in “Babies Listen and Learn While in the Womb,” a mother gives “her son [child] a foundation for language development” (2013). As a mother, pre-birth care is vital to the development of a child. Babies begin to absorb the language their mother speaks “during the last 10 weeks of pregnancy” (Mann 2013). We’ve always known babies can hear sounds, but what is special about the mother’s voice?
It was similar to the suburban street I grew up on, but in lieu of cookie-cutter houses with stale Bermuda grass, there stood wood cabins with yards covered in snow. The reddish-orange light emanating from the towering street lights pierced through a white fog and gently illuminated the area. Exiting the car, I was overwhelmed with a flurry of new sensations. The gently falling snow absorbed all of the sounds I was used to hearing in a residential area.The low hum of passing cars, birds singing from the trees, and the sound of blowing wind appeared to be muffled, even silenced, by the steady falling snow. The smell of burning wood was coming from every direction, as each house I looked at had a thin, grayish plume rising gently from the chimney. The plumes represented the warmth and comfort of the many people I imagined to be nestled by the fire. Looking down the street, I noticed how freshly plowed it was. A thin layer of snow and ice-- like icing on a cupcake, or the glass top on my parent’s nightstand-- covered the street. But on the side of the street sat a pile of snow that could have swallowed me alive. Feeling taunted, I stood there and weighed my options. Chest deep mounds of frozen crystals begged me to dive in and lose myself. Preparing to succumb to the temptations before me, I was momentarily hindered by the fear of my parent’s wrath. I was born on December 27, 2003 in Dubuque Iowa at Mercy Hostable at 10:07pm. My mom always like the named Josie so she named me Josie. I had no siblings it was just me my Mom (Julie) and my Dad (Dan.) Two days after I was born my cousin Clair was born two days later but she lived in California. Since they lived in California we flew out to see her. My mom always said I wasn’t a happy child and I'd always cry. I started walking around 9 months. As I got older I started to get poddy trained. Then when I was three I went to day care at Trinity Square. After going there for awhile they had to take down the school so they could make the parking lot to the church bigger. Since they knock down the school we had to find another day care for my brother because I started kindergarten.
The cold weather were challenging everyone and letting everyone to be inside as sooner as possible. We all gathered around the oven and enjoyed the heat of flame from firewoods. I didn 't remember when I went to sleep but I found myself in the beautiful fantasy. My I was very happy with my mother as she was looking pretty with long hair. During the first year of the infant’s life the most noticeable thing is physical growth. The infants weight is doubled in six months and tripled in a year. During the time of growth not only does the weight and height increase but as well the head and the chest that causes development of the heart, brain, lung and several organs used for survival. The bones of the infant start to harden as well as the skull. By the end of the second year of the infant’s life his/her brain has developed 75% of its adult weight. The growth and size of the baby also depend on its nutritional diet during the mothers pregnancy and during his/hers life, if during the mothers pregnancy she didn’t have a nutritional diet the baby might later have difficulties in his/hers growth and even its ability to understand and process things, if the infant is overfed during the first year or two years this might cause obesity in later years, now if the baby receives a good and nutritional balance of food this should increase growth and size of the infant.
I gave birth to a healthy, beautiful baby girl named Luna. Jeffrey has taken quite a liking to being a big brother. He likes to hold and rocker her and helps with feeding her. Jeffrey is still a slow-to warm child. He can communicate fairly well and is now using mostly complete sentences and seems to understand most of what I say. He occasionally makes errors of overregularization. He has taken an interest in music and singsongs even though he usually repeats a certain part a lot. I encourage this by taking him to local performances of children’s musicals. Jeffrey has learned the routines pretty well and is reasonably cooperative for his age. When I saw the snow, I had so many feelings inside of me. I could barely speak or breathe. I was feeling so excited about the snow that I had to jump around the house and scream. While I was getting out of bed, I had so much energy! I was extremely energetic and the only way to let it out was to get out and have lots of snow day fun! When I started to get on my warm winter gear, I was curious about what I was going to do when I got outside? Man I can barely wait to start this day! I feel like I might explode with all the amazing things I can do today.
I was born on a very stormy wintery night, my mom and dad left to go to the hospital at about midnight and I was born about an hour later. My mom is a great cook and enjoy cooking for us; this is probably where my passion for culinary comes from. My dad is an amazing tailor, he is very good at making our clothes, and my passion for fashion probably came from him. My dad is also a teacher, one of the best math teacher I know, he is passionate about his job and his family is the center of his universe.
