The movie Wonder is a very inspirational movie. It talks about respecting others and not judging them by their looks. Even if someone's looks are not like others', you should not judge them. This movie has such an awesome message. In my opinion, the three most valuable messages in this movie were to be respectful and kind to others and to just be yourself. In this movie, August Pollman (goes by the name Auggie), who is a young boy that just started going to middle school, was born with a face that didn’t look quite like others' faces. He has been homeschooled for all of his life, until now. His parents decide to send him to an actual school. There, he gets judged by so many people only because of his face. Although the students do not know him, they still give him strange looks and make fun of him only because of his face (No need to write in capital) Respect, it is a very valuable thing to have in life. In this movie, Julian has absolutely no respect for Auggie. It is not only Julian, it is almost everyone at Auggie’s school. Although, Julian is the rudest. The play “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry has many interesting characters. In my opinion, the most fascinating character is Ruth because of her many emotions and captivating personality. She goes through extreme emotions in the play such as happiness, sadness, anger, stress, and confusion. Ruth is very independent, firm, kind, witty, and loving.
In A Separate Piece by John Knowles, it is about a boy named Gene Forrester who becomes friends with Phineas (Finny). They are best friends and roommates in Devon School in New Hampshire during the 1940’s. They decide to make a secret society (Super Suicide Society) which turns jumping out of a tall tree into a river a ritual. Gene starts envying Finny and wonders if Finny is trying to ruin his grades since Finny only exceeds physically and not mentally. He soon starts to hate Finny and think differently of him. After a while, Gene realizes that he was wrong about Finny trying to sabotage him. They decide to make amends by jumping off of the tree together. When Finny is about to jump off, Gene bends his legs which caused Finny to fall off and break his leg. After his leg heals, a trial is held to figure out if Gene is responsible for Finny’s broke leg. Finny runs out and trips over marble steps. He breaks his leg again and gets surgery which leads to his death. Gene should be held legally responsible over the death of Finny. He was the cause pf the first fall and he has guilt over his death. Finny would not have died if it wasn’t for the first fall that tragically broke his leg.
In the novel Mr.Was by Pete Hautman young Andie had long red hair, green eyes, loved going on walks in the woods and loved a good adventure. Andie was trustworthy, loyal, and was often pushed around. Scud and Jack love her, as they grow up things start to change for her and her feelings change. Andie is the total opposite of Scud, Scud is a troublemaker and Andie just kind of tags along but never really does anything bad.The feelings for Jack and Andie become strong when Jack goes to war. Jack and love is Andie’s motivator, she follows and always stays in touch with Jack due to her feelings. As the story goes on the characters grow up.
