"I was born with an enormous need for affection, and a terrible need to give"- Audrey Hepburn. Most people do not realize how much Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe have in common. Marilyn Monroe was a blonde haired thriving actress who died at a young age. Audrey Hepburn was a beautiful brunette actress that had British ascent that made people fall in love with her. Marilyn and Audrey are the same because of their fame, family, and fight. Firstly, Audrey and Marilyn are the same due to their fame. To begin with, Marilyn and Audrey both worked modeling at a young age. For example, they both started modeling in the 1940s to get money to save up for their dream. Firstly, they both shared the same amount of determination. For example, Marilyn worked hard to get money by modeling on the side to get more acting lessons so she would not have to play “dumb blonde roles”. Audrey did modeling to pay for dance lessons to help her be a better dancer for when the camera is on her. Thus, Marilyn and Audrey are both determined to work hard so they could get money and learn more about what they want to do. Secondly, they both suffered from severe depression and anxiety. For instance, Audrey was depressed after her divorce with her husband Mel Ferrer. Marilyn Monroe was depressed because she suffered through several miscarriages and she really wanted a family. Therefore, they both have deep sadness because of what they both went through, but their depression did not show on screen when they are acting. Thirdly, they both had a passion for children’s charities. Marilyn Monroe donated a lot of money to a lot of different children’s charities. Most of the children's charities she donated to were foster or unfortunate children because she knew what it was like to be one of those kids. Audrey was a UNICEF ambassador; or United Nations Children’s Fund traveled and gave food and medical help to children after WWII. She helped UNICEF because Audrey knew what is was like to be sick, and needing help after war when she was a kid. Thus, they share the same passion to help
