Communication is a critical thinking process done in a variety of ways across different cultures settings using various channels to convey a message. Communication is the exchange of information using both verbal and nonverbal demonstrative langue. A message involves a sender and channel for the delivery and a receiver. Communication is a form of passing information from one person to the next and from one place to another by acknowledging the sender’s intent, comprehending the context of the message, and acting upon it to be able to create shared understanding. You can do this by considering a few questions like, “What is it that I need to accomplish in this conversation?” or “Am I presenting new information?” “Am I clarifying, requesting or persuading (Quintanilla & Wahl, 2014). Just taking time to assess your intent and direction will reduce the risk of omitting vital points in your message.

After an initial brainstorming session to organize thoughts and ideas, the next step in the process is determining key points. In this part of the communications process, it is helpful to write down all the ideas from step one in order to figure out which are the most important and relevant to your audience. . Failure to research audience demographics will, most likely, result in an ineffective reception of any message. However, performing an analysis of the audience and tailoring the message to meet the needs can mean the difference between triumph and disaster in how listeners receive and decode information.
