I personally think that joke theft is a real and serious issue. Because a lot of people spend a lot of their time writing these jokes and I totally understand them being mad for getting their jokes stolen from them like that. I would at least want some recognition or something if someone was wanting to use a joke that I made, they could've at least done that. I also believe that you should be able to copy write a joke, if you have spent time on something you wouldn't really want other people just stealing it from you. My opinion on this situation is that it is really kind of childish, it's just a joke. But also I can understand where the person that made the joke is coming from, because if I worked hard on something like that I know that I would definitely be mad if something was to just steal it and act like they didn't do anything wrong. …show more content…

It's one thing if they use the same joke as you one time, because that could just mean that they are thinking the same way as you and just happened to think of them same and maybe they both just thought of the same joke and it was just told in different ways. But when you have noticed them using the jokes that you make more than once or in this case in multiple episodes of his late night T.V. show. I think how this needs to be handled is there need to be a law against this sort of thing, especially if there is clear evidence that the joke was stolen, then there definitely should be something done about it, because even if it is just a joke it is still stealing, which is a
