The drug’s mental and physical effects on the body have made it popular among the people suffering from chronic diseases. The drug has been in existence since the 3rd millennium BC where it was first recorded. The drug has also been used as a recreational drug by the people because of its mental effects that make a person feel “stoned” or “high” feeling with a general change in perception, mood and euphoria. The drug is illegal in many countries with the inclusion of some state in the United States. Close to half the states have legalized the drug or are in the progress of doing so. The medicinal value of the drug has been tested and it is one of the most effective natural drugs in the world.
