When people think of heroes and villains they think of the characters who play these roles in cartoon movies like Batman and Spiderman, but in reality, anyone can be a hero and anyone can be a villain. Heroes are considered to be inspirational and bold because of what they do to help others. While villains are typically defined as a wicked or evil person who makes others feel helpless.
Heroes and villains are seen differently through the eyes of each individual person, not all heroes and villains are recognized because of their actions. A hero can be someone like your mom, who has done everything they possibly could to make you happy and inspire you to be someone important in life. And a villain can be someone like President Donald Trump America great again by taking back all immigrants back to Mexico. Though people might disagree with President Trump being a villain and see him as a hero, because a lot of people think these immigrants should go back to their home town.
An example, of heroes are all those people who have fought and some who lost their lives on September 11. Many random bystanders helped dozens of people get out during the time of the collapse and still went back in with the firefighters to save many more lives. Generally when you think of a hero, who do you envision? Most likely, you picture a strong and imposeing figure, someone capable of performing in high pressure situations, demonstrating bravery and passion to help his/her fellow man. Those who typically fit that role in society are firefighters, policemen, and soldiers. Those people deserve all the credit and recognition they receive for their courageous acts. However, what about individuals or groups who aren’t necessarily on the “frontlines” physically protecting others and saving lives, but who work extremely hard to improve the lives of others in some way? These everyday people deserve credit as well. After all, to the people they help, these volunteers or activists are heroes. An example of such a group is the Greensboro Four, a few African American college students in the early 1960s who helped change the landscape of segregation in the Jim Crow South.

For the most part the answer to that question is entirely subjective, what someone must do in order to be labeled a hero or, for the matter, a villain is almost entirely up to each and every individual reader. In the play Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, the speaker introduces the protagonist of the play as a loyal and valiant warrior, typical traits of a hero, but it quickly becomes clear to any reader that Macbeth, the protagonist, is not in any sense of the word a hero. That insufficient heroism can be credited to a prophecy given by three witches that had a similar effect on both Macbeth and Banquo. The only clear hero of the play is Macduff, a man with a strong sense of loyalty to the country he swore to serve.

In the “Diary of Anne Frank” Miep and Mr. Kraler were heroes of all of the Jews hiding in the Secret Annex because Miep and Mr. Kraler would bring them food and keep them updated on what the outside world was like. Although some people can be villains, ordinary people can be heroes because they help each other out no matter how bad the situation is, heroes always wish the best for people and want to help them succeed, and will stick up for each other no matter what.
