We see it all the time. Forbidden love comes in many forms, we just tend to overlook it. People think it’s not a big deal, these things, but it’s becoming a bigger deal all the time. People always think there’s some reason a couple shouldn’t be together, whether it’s an actual reason such as abuse, or even if the relationship is healthy and people just don’t like it because it’s different from what they believe. Whether it’s a same sex marriage, it’s interracial, or if someone in their families just doesn’t like each other, if the relationship is healthy and the people in it are happy, they should be able to be with who they want. The families have a feud that doesn’t involve their children, so they cannot be together, and they both die. While we normally don’t see people dying because of it, not allowing two people to be together because of such trivial reasons is just plain cold. We see these things all the time. Even just in high school. She’s a cheerleader, he’s a nerd, so in love but society has forbade them to be together based on their status within the school. Or we see gangs that no longer exist, but they used to feud in the streets. Now they have kids who like each other and even though none of what happened with them has to do with the kids, they won’t let them see each other. A perfect example is the Hatfield - McCoy feud. Rosanna, daughter of William McCoy, head of the McCoy family, began a courtship with the son of the head of the Hatfield family, Johnson, also known as Johnse. Rosanna had moved to West Virginia with the Hatfeilds. She did eventually go back, but after she did, Johnse was arrested by the McCoys on a Kentucky bootlegging warrant. Johnse was only set free after Rosanna made a midnight trip back to West Virginia to warn his father. Later on Johnse left the pregnant Rosanna, for her cousin, Nancy McCoy. They got married in
