Is College Worth It? A college education is a standard for most people, but now, anti-college people are claiming college isn’t worth it. College can help you get your dream job, which would make work not feel like the daily grind. If you don’t go to college, you could end up in poverty or general unhappiness. According to a PEW research report, millennials with a bachelor’s degree ages 25-32 had an almost 300% less unemployment rate than high school graduates of the same ages. A college education is essential to having a satisfied life, and is definitely worth it. The Bureau of Labor Statistics research found that, on average, college graduates with a bachelor’s degree typically earn up to almost 65% more per year than those with a high school diploma or its equivalent and almost 40% more than those with an associate degree. More and more jobs are require extra experience these days, without college, you won’t have the same opportunities to learn these skills. Anti-College people argue that a college education isn’t worth it because of the debt, but if you make more money in the end, you can pay off the debt. Also, college doesn’t have to be expensive, you can go to a community college, or take college courses in high school for free.
